 RECESS before LUNCH
SES New Healthy Initiative

Research indicates that recess before lunch helps students eat better, focus more!

Click on the link below for more information.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
The mural has begun. The walls of Sutton Elementary are coming alive!
After searching for the best talent, we have selected our very own Claudia Linsley.
She has begun painting characters from various children’s books that will sure to
inspire our students to pick up a new book and read.

The PTO is collecting Labels for Education

Please send in your Labels for Education so our school can earn prizes and supplies

Early Arrival and Dismissal

Reminder about early arrival and dismissal of students ...

Arrival:
Students may enter classrooms at 8:15 AM. Students that arrive to school between 8:00 -- 8:15 AM must wait in their respective school lobby until it is time to go to class.

For safety and supervision reasons, students are not to be dropped off before 8:00 AM. Families participating in the parent drop off lines are to pull up to the crosswalk for children to exit the cars. Vehicles stopping at the walkway rather that pulling up causes traffic to back up. If your child needs assistance exiting the vehicle, please park your car in the side parking lot and escort your child to the sidewalk.

Dismissal: Our day ends at 2:45 PM. Changes to dismissal plans must be in place by 2:00 PM in order to ensure notification to all involved. Late dismissal changes affect accuracy of our dismissal procedure of 900 students. If unforeseen incidents occur which cause you to be late, please call the school office. Students waiting are often nervous and are reassured when we can relay a message that Mom or Dad is on the way.

Thank you for your cooperation.
